Preparing for Sentence

Preparing for Sentence

The day that you are sentenced can be one of the most important days of your life. A well prepared sentence hearing can be the difference between going into custody or staying out. We prepare our sentences in three stages. The first is taking instructions from you to ascertain your background and life history.  The second is obtaining evidentiary material which supports your history and background.

This material may include testimonials from long-term friends and family or work mates. It may include obtaining medical records, or obtaining a report from your treating physician, psychologist or psychiatrist. It may also include obtaining certificates of attainment or work histories.

The third stage is to review, collate and put the material into an appropriate format for presentation to the Court. Each sentence is individually tailored to suit your needs and to tell your story. Don’t risk a bad result.
